چکیده
Thyroid scintigraphy is a method that formed more than 60 years ago and retains its importance for the diagnosis assessment of risk nodular malignancy. The review examines use scintigraphic in functional metabolic goiter. Prerequisites thyroid nodes screening with short-lived 99mTc-pertechnetate are outlined. Information provided on principles preparation pharmacokinetics, as well variants activity, their possible malignant potential indications screening. characteristic activity allows to assess functionally “cold” main stages nonspecific tumorotropic radiopharmaceuticals, mechanism accumulation metabolism tumors, possibilities differential various types formations presented. Modern views diagnostic capabilities two-phase 99mTс-methylisobutylisonitrile reflected taking into account relationship radiopharmaceuticals factors proliferative ultrastructural cell types, variant oncocytic pathology multidrug-resistant protein expression.

Elastography: A New Ultrasound Technique in Nodular Thyroid Pathology
Elastography is a new technique for evaluating the stiffness of nodules. It is generally recognised that malignant thyroid lesions are harder than benign lesions. Different elastographic techniques are presented, with characteristics, advantages and limita‐ tions. Qualitative and semiquantitative methods are described. Comparison of the main existing techniques, static and dynamic elastographie...
متن کاملPendrin expression in nodular and non-nodular thyroid tissues.
INTRODUCTION Different mechanisms for the expression of pendrin which is an apical iodide transporter have been reported in nodular thyroid tissues compared to normal thyroid. The aim of the present study was to determine the alterations of pendrin expression in nodular and surrounding non-nodular thyroid tissues and clarify the role of pendrin in the functional behaviour of nodular lesions. ...
متن کاملNodular thyroid disease in the erderly
The occurrence of thyroid nodules increases with age [1]. In geographical areas with a normal iodine intake, approximately 10% of the population develops a palpable thyroid nodule. This proportion increases in areas with insufficient iodine intake. Non-palpable thyroid nodules are usually diagnosed by a neck echography carried out for various reasons and are 5-10 folds more common than palpable...
متن کاملNodular thyroid hyperplasia in a cynomolgus monkey.
Nodular thyroid hyperplasia was found in a 4-year-old male cynomolgus monkey (Macaca fascicularis). The monkey was clinically normal; however, necropsy revealed multiple variably sized nodules in both lobes of the thyroid gland. In contrast to the fairly uniform diameter of the lumen of follicles in the surrounding gland, the diameter of the follicular lumen within the hyperplastic nodules was ...
